Attenborough and fossils

Beautiful worm-like fossils
I was intrigued to see that David Attenborough has been at it again but this time it was all about fossils. It was such a well produced programme and he is such a compelling story teller. But then that is all the programme was about - story telling! I still find it remarkable that grown men and women believe this nonsense about the fossil record! Here's an image of fossils I took last year at Cocklawburn Beach south of Berwick-upon-Tweed.
What compels people to stake their faith in the unbelievable idea that we have evolved from simple organisms over millions of years. Whatever way you cut it you end up worshipping some form of creature. Indeed Attenborough as much as said this when he stated that we owe our very life to the first creatures that crawled out of the sea some ....... million years ago.
Like I said it is clearly patent nonsense of the worst kind. I have been a fossil hunter for some thirty years and it is quite interesting to note in passing that the fossils cannot actually tell you anything. They are mute beasts and they are stubborn in yielding 'truth'. What people do in effect is to impose the 'truth' on the geology and fossil evidence we can all see. To me what I see every time I go on a hunt is a vast testament to God's judgment on the world. Fossils are formed when things get covered in water and sediments. It is a simple as that! I have found fossil on the east coast near Berwick and in scotland, on the south coast in Dorset, on the Gower peninsula and in the rivers of Yorkshire where I now live. What fascinates me is that wherever you go you find this evidence of the land having once been inundated with water. This is clear testimony to the awesomeness of God. He warned the world that judgment was coming and despite providing not only the warning but also the means of salvation, it was soundly rejected by the people of those days. Are we as blind and stupid as they when we read in the Bible that God has reserved this world for judgment not by water but by fire? I do hope not!
I would like to begin to document and detail some of the geology and fossil finds I have made over the years. These thoughts are entirely my own and they are borne out of a deep conviction and love for the Lord jesus Christ is God incarnate, the Redeemer of those who put their trust in Him and the soon coming King of all the universe!
